Gayle Lynds

You can be a character in Gayle's next novel

This is all you have to do to have your name considered: By June 1, 2010, first sign Gayle's guestbook, and second, send Gayle an email at fan_mail@gaylelynds.com swearing you don't mind who your namesake ends up being - hero or villain, walk-on or long-running secondary character, or even a mangled corpse.

And you must not care about what you look like either - or, what you say: In other words, you've giving your life over. Ah, the suspense and thrill of it all!

In BOOK OF SPIES, Gayle used some thirty readers' names. She had to do a lot head scratching, because there were so many good ones to choose from. You might like to know that among them is friend and fellow author Douglas Preston, who wanted to be a villain. You'll have to read the book to find out how Gayle used (or misused) him.

So if you want your name to be considered for the next book in the series, just follow the above instructions. Good luck!

[Editor's note: You know how these writers are. Heaven knows what she'll come up with next.]
